[BRAHT-vursht] is a German sausage made of pork and veal seasoned with a
variety of spices including ginger,
nutmeg and coriander or caraway. It can be roasted, boiled in beer, grilled,
pan-fried, and much more. It can be eaten with mustard, grilled or sautéed onions,
grilled or sautéed peppers, sauerkraut, but is best naked.
The term "Bratwurst" is known to 90% of the Maltese population. Maltese love the fresh, spicy and crunchy taste of the German sausage.
During the summer months there are weekly feasts and events. There are mostly several hundred to thousands of people gathered. This is where the concept takes place.
